Cerebral palsy is a congenital disorder that causes muscle weakness. It affects movement and muscle tone or posture.

Occurrence
The condition usually happens before a child is born, but it can also occur at birth or in early infancy.
Cause of Cerebral palsy

Cerebral palsy is caused due to abnormal development of brain as a result of lack of oxygen in the brain at the time of birth.

Other reasons include maternal infections, traumatic head injury, genetic mutations, bleeding in the brain, infant infections and stroke.
