Open source of digital commerce
Open source implies that the source code and steps used for designing a process is available for everybody to use.
Different entities can make use of these steps to modify the platform according to their needs and budget.
Once this idea comes into implementation, all digital commerce companies will have to adopt it compulsorily. They will lose their technical advantage.
Small retailers and e-commerce startups will receive a big boost for their business. This will also remove monopoly of few giants.
The Department of Promotion of Industrial and Internal Trade (DPIIT) will standardize operations, include suppliers, digitize value chain, and set up logistics for benefit of e-commerce.
