International Convention on World Homoeopathy Day to deliberate on linking education and clinical practice with research was held in New Delhi. It was organised by Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), an autonomous research organisation, Ministry of AYUSH.
World Homoeopathy Day
It is observed every year on April 10 to commemorate birth anniversary of the founder and father of Homoeopathy system of medicine, Dr. Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann. It seeks to spread more knowledge about Homoeopathy as form of medicine in mainstream public health. This year it is 264th birth anniversary of founder of Dr. Hahnemann.
- It is system of medicine was developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in Germany in 1796. It has emerged as second most widely used treatment, adapted by most of the doctors of the world.
- It uses unique way of treatment by stimulating body’s own healing power. It is seen as alternative to standard medicine system. Its entire concept is different to other conventional forms of medicines.
- It is widely popular across the world and is recognized in India to cure the diseases worldwide. It has been integrated into national health care system.
