The 4th Resilient Cities Asia-Pacific (RCAP) 2019 Congress was held in New Delhi. It was organised by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability and hosted by South Delhi Municipal Corporation. It offered cities and regions from Asia-Pacific a variety of innovative solutions that build resilience to climate change at the sub-national level. It also offered combination of high-level planarians and technical sessions on implementation and achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and New Urban Agenda of 2016. It also saw participation of UN agencies like UNDP-GEF, UNESCAP, UN-HABITAT and UNIDSR
Resilient Cities Asia-Pacific (RCAP)
It is annual global platform for urban resilience and climate change adaptation. It is convened by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability and co-hosted by World Mayors Council on Climate Change and Bonn City. It was launched in 2010 with the goal of forging partnerships and dialogues that matter. It aims to provide Asian platform for urban resilience and climate change adaptation where partnerships are forged and concrete dialogues takes place, with ultimate goal of identifying solutions and creating lasting impacts for cities in the region.
