The foundation stone for Puri heritage corridor will be laid by the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik.
Background
The idea of the corridor was first conceived in 2016 and will be developed at the cost of Rs 800 crore.

The main aim of the corridor is to transform the holy town of Puri into an international place of heritage.

There are 22 different projects involved in the development. They will be taken up in a phased manner.
Objective
The main reason for modification is redeveloping major portions of the holy town and in the vicinity of the temple for visitors and tourists.
