61st Grammy Awards 2019

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards were presented by Recording Academy at Staples Center in Los Angeles. It recognized best recordings, compositions, and artists of eligibility year, which ran from October 2017, to September 2018. The award ceremony was hosted by singer-songwriter Alicia Keys.

In this edition of awards, Childish Gambino and Kacey Musgraves won most awards, four each in different categories. Kendrick Lamar was nominated signer this with eight nominations in different categories. Dolly Parton was honored as MusiCares Person of Year.

Note: 2019 Grammy’s award record 31 women or female led bands winning awards in different categories. In 2018, only 17 of the 86 award categories were won by women or female led bands.

About Grammy Award

  • It is recording industry’s most prestigious award. It is also called as Gramophone Award.
