It comprises of two components namely National Programme for Bovine Breeding (NPBB) and National Mission on Bovine Productivity (NMBP).</span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><strong><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">Objectives of Misssion:</span></span></strong><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif""> (i) Develope and conserve indigenous breeds (ii) Undertake breed improvement programme for indigenous cattle breeds for improving genetic makeup and increase stock. (iii) Enhance milk production and productivity. (iv) Upgrade nondescript cattle using elite indigenous breeds like Sahiwal, Gir, Rathi, Deoni, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar,(v) Distribute disease free high genetic merit bulls for natural service.</span></span></span></span></p>

State Gauseva Ayogs are mandated to sponsor proposals to SIA’s (LDB’s) and monitor implementation of sponsored proposal. Besides, all Agencies having role in indigenous cattle development are “Participating Agencies” like CCBFs, CFSPTI, ICAR, Universities, Colleges, NGO’s, Cooperative Societies and Gaushalas with best germplasm.</span></span></span></span></p>

Gokul Grams is established (i) native breeding tracts and (ii) near metropolitan cities for housing the urban cattle. </span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">It act as Centres for development of Indigenous Breeds and a dependable source for supply of high genetic breeding stock to the farmers in the breeding tract. It also functions as state of the art in situ training centre for Farmers, Breeders and MAITRI’s. </span></span></span></span></li>

<p style="margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">It aims at conserving and developing indigenous breeds in focused and scientific manner and e</span></span><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">nhance the productivity of the indigenous </span></span><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">breeds of India through professional farm management. It comprises of two components namely National Programme for Bovine Breeding (NPBB) and National Mission on Bovine Productivity (NMBP).</span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><strong><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">Objectives of Misssion:</span></span></strong><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif""> (i) Develope and conserve indigenous breeds (ii) Undertake breed improvement programme for indigenous cattle breeds for improving genetic makeup and increase stock. (iii) Enhance milk production and productivity. (iv) Upgrade nondescript cattle using elite indigenous breeds like Sahiwal, Gir, Rathi, Deoni, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar,(v) Distribute disease free high genetic merit bulls for natural service.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><strong><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">Implementation:</span></span></strong><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif""> It is implemented through State Implementing Agency (SIA viz Livestock Development Boards). State Gauseva Ayogs are mandated to sponsor proposals to SIA’s (LDB’s) and monitor implementation of sponsored proposal. Besides, all Agencies having role in indigenous cattle development are “Participating Agencies” like CCBFs, CFSPTI, ICAR, Universities, Colleges, NGO’s, Cooperative Societies and Gaushalas with best germplasm.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p style="margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><strong><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">Gokul Gram</span></span></strong></span></span></p>

<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">It is Integrated Indigenous Cattle Centres for breeding tracts of indigenous breeds. Gokul Grams is established (i) native breeding tracts and (ii) near metropolitan cities for housing the urban cattle. </span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">It act as Centres for development of Indigenous Breeds and a dependable source for supply of high genetic breeding stock to the farmers in the breeding tract. It also functions as state of the art in situ training centre for Farmers, Breeders and MAITRI’s. </span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:9.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Quicksand","serif"">It seeks to be self sustaining and generate economic resources from sale of A2 milk, organic manure, vermi-composting, urine distillates, and production of electricity from bio gas for in house consumption and sale of animal products. </span></span></span></span></li>
