Siliguri-Dhaka train service to start on Independence Day of Bangladesh
The new Passenger train service between India and Bangladesh will start from 26th of March, the day the neighbouring country begins the Golden Jubilee celebrations of its Independence.
Divisional Railway Manager of Katihar Division Ravindra Kumar Verma said, the train will leave NJP on every Thursday and Monday while it will depart from Dhaka on Friday and Thursday.
The Haldibari-Chilahati (in Bangladesh) train route was opened after a gap of 55 years for goods trains on 17th of December last year.
