Siliguri-Dhaka train service to start on Independence Day of Bangladesh
- The new Passenger train service between India and Bangladesh will start from 26th of March, the day the neighbouring country begins the Golden Jubilee celebrations of its Independence.
- Divisional Railway Manager of Katihar Division Ravindra Kumar Verma said, the train will leave NJP on every Thursday and Monday while it will depart from Dhaka on Friday and Thursday.
- The Haldibari-Chilahati (in Bangladesh) train route was opened after a gap of 55 years for goods trains on 17th of December last year.
