ADB discussing USD 940 million assistance for Bangladesh COVID vaccination programme

  • The Asian Development Bank is working with the govt of Bangladesh for providing a USD 940 million assistance to purchase COVID-19 vaccine. 
  • This was discussed during the courtesy call of the ADB Country Director for Bangladesh Manmohan Parkash with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka.
  • ADB is discussing the proposal for USD 940 million assistance from ADB’s APVAX facility to help expedite the economic recovery of Bangladesh from the pandemic.
