- NASA’s Parker Solar Probe has successfully entered the corona of the Sun – an extreme environment that’s roughly 2 million degrees Fahrenheit.
- The corona is the outermost layer of the Sun’s atmosphere which hosts strong magnetic fields bind plasma.
- The Probe will continue to orbit the Sun and take measurements and data for the scientists to better understand the solar atmosphere.
