- Micro-blogging site Twitter has appointed Vinay Prakash as its interim Resident Grievance Officer (RGO) for India.
- The company had recently informed the Delhi High Court that it was in the process of making an offer of appointment to a resident of India as its interim RGO and expects to do so on or before July 11, 2021.
- The US-based company has been in the eye of a storm over its alleged failure to comply with the new IT rules in India, which mandates the appointment of three key personnel -- Chief Compliance Officer, Nodal Officer and Grievance Officer.
- The company on its website has informed that Prakash is the RGO and users can contact him using an email ID listed on the page.
