The Karnataka government issued a notification with temporary regulations regarding the novel coronavirus, naming it 'The Karnataka Epidemic Diseases, Covid-19 regulations 2020.'

Mr. Shivakumar replaces Dinesh Gundu Rao as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief. This ends a long-drawn power tussle between him and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
