Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella recently announced launched “ElectionGuard”, a free open-source SoftwareDevelopment Kit (SDK).
It may be used as supplement to paper ballots.The software is being developed with Galois, an Oregon-based company in US.
Thisopen source SDK is ambitious effort to make voting secure and verifiable. SDK subject voting to reliable audits by registering ballots in encrypted form which cannot be easily deciphered thus they can be accurately and independently tracked long after they are cast.
It launched new app called ‘Bharatpe for Merchants’. It is India’s first UPI BahiKhata(DigitalLedger) for merchants.
With this, BharatPe has enabling payments via interoperable UPI QR (Quick Response) codes recently notified its new venture into Merchant Services.
The app allows merchants to keep a track of their credit (Udhar) sales customer wise, to request amount received from customers via SMS, payment links or WhatsApp and to record accounts that are payable to suppliers.
