India’s first AI-enabled electric motorcycle launched

  • Rahul Sharma, Micromax co-founder announced his smart mobility venture with launch of an AI (Artificial intelligence) enabled electric motorcycle.
  • His brand Revolt Intellicorp Pvt Ltd, headquartered at Gurugram, Haryana, is expected to hit roads by June 2019, and is going to be a game changer in automobile industry.
  • With around Rs 500 crore of investment, it will make personal mobility practical, affordable and sustainable.

15th Finance Commission discussion with World Bank, OECD, and ADB

  • 15th Finance Commission, under chairmanship of Shri N. K. Singh held High-level discussion on “Fiscal Relations across levels of Government” in New Delhi.
  • It was organized in partnership with World Bank (WB), OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), and ADB (Asian Development Bank).
  • Technical sessions discussed were: Sub-national debt Transfer, design incentives and fiscal equalization; Sub-national budget and Public financial management system Finances of III-tier of Government.
  • The discussions were based on work being done by WB, OECD, and ADB for Commission and about findings of research work and analysis done by their teams.

Reliance Jio Digital acquires chatbot making startup Haptik

  • Reliance Jio Digital, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries acquired a chatbot making startup firm Haptik. for Rs.700 Crore.
  • It is worth Rs.700 Crore deal, of which Rs.230 Crore will be used for business transaction and Rs.470 Crore for business expansion.
  • After acquisition, Reliance Jio Digital holds 87% stake in Haptik, while existing investor Times Internet which had 70% stake will exit company.
  • Haptik Co-founders Aakrit Vaish and Swapan Rajdev will have a minority stake of 13%.

Mayoori kango named Industry head of Google India

  • She will lead Google engagement with Publicis (Parent Company of Performics) and DAN.
  • Earlier, she worked as Managing Director of Performics (A Performance Marketing Agency) and has been instrumental in engaging and retaining accounts of firms like Uber, Airtel and Nestle
  • Mayoori Kango started her career at the age of 15, with National Award winning film, Naseem. Her other movies includes “Papa Kehte Hai (1996)”, Betaabi (1997), Hogi Pyaar ki Jeet (1999) and Badal (2000).
