The High Court of England and Wales has ruled in favour of India and the two descendants of the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad, regarding a amount of 35 million pounds in a case dating back to 1948.
While Pakistan claimed that the amount was entitled to be paid to it for supplying weapons to erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad for protecting itself from India, the court found no link to support the argument and ruled in favour of India.
Former India skipper Kapil Dev has resigned from his post as the head of the three-member ad-hoc Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC).
The decision to resign from the CAC comes after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Ethics Officer D.K. Jain sent a notice to the panel comprising of Kapil, Anshuman Gaekwad and Shantha Rangaswamy with regards to allegations of conflict of interest.
